The Spring 2018 classes at the Shepherd’s Center of Pine Bluff will begin at Lakeside United Methodist Church, 15th Avenue and Olive Street.
Classes will be held Wednesday, March 7, through April 25, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. The one time registration fee is $10.
“It is that time of year again. Time to add a new interest/hobby to your life? Meet new friends and enjoy fellowship with old friends. A great way to spend a morning while learning something new, or enhancing your talents and skills,” a spokeswoman said in a news release.
Also during the Shepherd Center sessions, the Computer Course will be taught by Phil McBee at the Arkansas River Education Service Cooperative, Sixth Avenue and Poplar Street, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Thursdays instead of Wednesdays.
The guest speaker for the opening class March 7 will be John Mitchell, who will be the instructor for Beginning Genealogy.

Other Wednesday classes and instructors include:
Line Dancing – Mona Rhoden, instructor- one of the most popular classes;
Art Workshop – “Ever want to paint? Here’s your chance to take lessons from the best. Ladies from the local Art Guild instruct in watercolor, acrylic and others,” the spokeswoman said.
Knitting – Barbara Fry and others instructing;
Crochet- Barbara Lambert instructing;
Canasta – “Join Nancy Paschal to learn and play this relaxing card game,” the spokeswoman said.
Photography – Mike Adam teaches about portraits, landscaping, digital photography and more.
Bible class — The Rev. Steve Wingo teaches this one-hour class from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Bird Watching – Delos McCauley, instructor. “Enjoy nature and learn with experts from the Audubon Society,”the spokeswoman said.
Participants may also play Mahjong and Board Games.
“Learn to Speak Spanish”— will be held March 7, 14 and 21 taught by MiCasa Hispanic Ministry.
“This and That” Classes are different classes offered each Wednesday. Some classes may require a small fee for supplies.
Sessions will also include cooking classes, crafts, making wreaths, Intro to CPR and Health Checks by Lisa Duke of Jefferson Regional Medical Center, and other events and surprises, including Nature Center instructors.
