The Unified Relay Across America torch run presented by Bank of America to benefit Special Olympics will come through Pine Bluff on Saturday, June 13.
Over the course of 46 days, in a hand-to-hand exchange, people throughout the nation will carry the Special Olympics Flame of Hope across the country and deliver it to Los Angeles for the Special Olympics Word Games.
Funds raised from the Unified Relay will go to Special Olympics to provide sports training, competition opportunities and additional programming that empowers people with intellectual disabilities to become accepted and valued members of their communities, which leads to a more respectful and inclusive society for all.
People can sign up to run or bike parts of the course carrying the torch.
