The Pine Bluff Alumnae and Delta Eta Chapters of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. will present Dialoguing With Delta, an annual education activity for students in elementary school through college.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the event will be held from 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 8, in the Sylvester Early Auditorium of the School of Business and Management (Henderson-Young Hall) at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
Dialoguing With Delta workshops and interactive activities will be conducted around this year’s theme, “Uncompromising Commitment to Communities: Service, Leadership, Empowerment,” according to a spokeswoman.
The Pine Bluff Alumnae Chapter has served Pine Bluff area since Dec. 1, 1944.
“Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. is a private, not-for-profit public service organization committed to the constructive development of its members and to public service efforts in local communities,” according to a press release. “Public service programs are based upon a Five-Point Programmatic Thrust including Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health, and Political Awareness and Involvement.”
Kelly D. Bryant is the president of the Pine Bluff Alumnae Chapter. Angel Thurman is the president of the Delta Eta Chapter at UAPB.
