University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff track and field senior Caleb Snowden earned first-team All-American honors for the first time Saturday.
Snowden finished second in the high jump at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championship in Boston. He cleared a personal best, 2.24 meters, to set a UAPB record. It was his first appearance in the indoor championships, though he placed 11th in the NCAA outdoor championship in 2023.
“I feel great after competing against some of the best jumpers and achieving a personal record,” Snowden said. “The training from my coaches, the support from my teammates and participating in some good meets helped me prepare for this big stage where I represented my school. This experience will motivate me as I prepare for the upcoming outdoor season.”
University of Arkansas senior Romaine Beckford won the event, clearing 2.27 meters.
