The Jefferson County Single Parent Scholarship Fund will host its ninth annual Easter Fashion Extravaganza from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 8, at the Pine Bluff Convention Center.
This year’s theme is Spring Fashion Explosion. Proceeds from the event will be used to support college scholarships for eligible single parents through the single parent scholarship fund.
Founded in 1991, the single parent scholarship fund has awarded more than 400 scholarships valued at more than $200,000 to Jefferson County single parents who are pursuing college degrees, according to a press release. More than half of the scholarships were awarded to University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff students and six of those recipients graduated in December.
