Simmons First National Bank recently promoted Marla G. Mitchell to vice president and Kelly J. Burris to officer, according to J. Thomas May, chairman and chief executive officer.
A commercial loan officer, Mitchell has been with the bank more than 20 years. She serves on the lending training team and acquisition and conversion team.
Mitchell is a 2012 graduate of the Louisiana State University Graduate School of Banking, a 2009 graduate of the American Bankers Association National Commercial Lending School at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, and has completed numerous Arkansas Bankers Association courses.
Burris serves as a branch manager at the Simmons First Financial Center in Jefferson Square and has been with the bank 15 years.
