Simmons Bank plans agri summit Jan. 25

Simmons Bank will host its second annual Simmons Agri Summit from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 25, at the Pine Bluff Convention Center.

“The free conference will feature some of the agricultural industry’s principal experts leading discussions on the current economic landscape, the future of commodity pricing and the scientific developments impacting the industry locally and globally,” a spokesman said in a news release.

Speakers include Richard Brock, owner and president of Brock Associates; Jay Mahaffey, manager of Monsanto’s Scott Learning Center and Bryan Bomar, southern integration manager of Archer Daniels Midland Co.

“Simmons Bank’s history can be traced back to deep farmland roots in the Mississippi River Delta,” he said. “Agricultural lending is a focus area that continues today. Simmons invests in the communities it serves and knows the American farmer and understands the role agriculture plays in the fabric of local and national economies.”

To reserve a space, participants should register by Jan. 18, at www.simmonsbank.com/agrisummit or by calling 870-265-5366.
