Pine Bluff police were on the scene of a shooting in the Watson Chapel area Wednesday night that left one person dead and another injured.
The shooting occurred at the Speedway gas station at 3700 Camden Road. Names were not being released pending the notification of next of kin.
Police spokesman Lt. Bob Rawlinson said the initial investigation indicates that two vehicles pulled into the parking lot and there was an altercation between the driver of a maroon Hyundai Santa Fe and a passenger in another vehicle.
Shots were exchanged, killing one person and injuring the other.
The second vehicle left the scene and drove to Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Police are at the hospital interviewing the driver of that vehicle. No details were available on the condition of the injured person.
