During the ushers ministry workshop that was held on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Capt. Greg McClain with the Jefferson County Sheriff training division addressed a crowd of more than 50 on the awareness of an active shooter in the churches and how to survive.
The workshop was designed to aid church ushers with strategics in hostile situations.
During the workshop, fire safety information was provided to the ushers from Lt. Fabian Fontenot with the Pine Bluff Fire Department. Wylene Richardson provided presentations on what ushers should do in emergency situations.
