The Shelter Insurance Foundation will award two $2,000 scholarships to graduates of White Hall High School. Shelter Agent Michelle Herring sponsors and partially funds these scholarships, according to a news release.
A committee of local high school officials and community leaders will select the scholarship recipients.
Scholarship applications are available and should be completed and returned to the school official on the selection committee by March 31.
The committee will consider each applicant’s scholastic achievements, educational goals, citizenship, moral character and participation and leadership in school and community activities, according to the release.
The scholarships are given without discrimination. The name of the recipients will be announced at the end of the school year. The foundation makes payment directly to the school the recipient selects.
For details, interested seniors should contact their high school counselor or principal or Shelter Insurance Agent Michelle Herring at 870-247-0448.
