Amir Rosa scored 29 points and pulled down 10 rebounds Saturday, leading Southeast Arkansas College to a 114-69 men’s basketball victory over the Champion Christian College reserve team at H.O. Clemmons Arena.
The win is the third in a row for the Sharks (4-1), who played their first game in eight days.
Jordan Allen also struck a double-double with 13 points and 12 assists. Kyler Dandridge had 15 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals; Cadell Wallace totaled 13 points and 5 assists; and Dominique Baptiste registered 10 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists.
Kyleston Gill led Champion Christian with 17 points and Carter Temple added 13.
The Shark women’s and men’s teams will visit Coahoma Community College near Clarksdale, Miss., on Monday. The men’s team will then head to Plano, Texas, for the Collin College Thanksgiving Classic to face Texas’ Hill College on Nov. 28 and Oklahoma’s Murray State College on Nov. 29.

WOMEN: Delta State 61, UAM 57
In Cleveland, Miss., a 28-10 second quarter in Delta State University’s favor forced the University of Arkansas at Monticello women’s team to play catch-up, as the Cotton Blossoms came up short Saturday in a cross-Delta rivalry.
The big second quarter gave the Lady Statesmen (2-1) a 39-25 halftime lead. UAM (4-1) outscored Delta State in each of the other three quarters.
The Lady Statesmen made 11 of 25 3-point baskets, which helped them overcome a 10-for-22 clip in free throws. From the field, they were 20 for 52 (38.5%).
Madi Kate Vuncannon made 4 of Delta State’s threes and finished with 12 points. Jariyah Williamson led Delta State with 17 points and Olivia Allen threw in 13 points.
UAM shot a better clip from the floor (20 of 43, 46.5%) and was 15 for 19 at the foul line but held to 2-for-8 3-point shooting. Brilynn Findley made 5 of 7 from the floor and led UAM with 11 points, while Alyssa Batton added 10 points.
The Blossoms resume action at 5 p.m. Tuesday against Mississippi College in Clinton, Miss. That game will conclude UAM’s nonconference slate.
