Southeast Arkansas Concert Association is hosting a youth summer camp this week at the University of Arkansas at Monticello Fine Arts Center. Their final performance of Romeo and Juliet will be 7 p.m. Friday. Renowned writer and Shakespeare scholar, Hal Evans, is leading the Shakespeare camp for youth ages 7-17. The younger students will present an imaginative take on Romeo and Juliet, while the older students will perform a 45-minute adaptation of the classic. Evans has more than 60 professional Shakespeare camps under his belt. He is accompanied by two professional teachers and semi-pro actors, according to a news release.
