Southeast Arkansas College President Tyrone Jackson outlined his vision for the school and the role of the SEARK College Foundation in supporting student success and institutional growth at the foundation board’s retreat Wednesday at the Carl A. Redus Jr. Aquatic Center.

The event, considered “inspiring and productive” according to a news release, was organized by Charles King, executive director of college advancement and development at SEARK, and Mae Washington, a developmental analyst in institutional advancement.

Jackson delivered his message during a special working lunch. Board members engaged in thoughtful discussion, offered valuable feedback, and explored new opportunities to strengthen SEARK’s mission, according to the release.

“We want to extend our deepest gratitude to the Southeast Arkansas College Foundation Board for their unwavering dedication, leadership, and support of our campus community,” the college stated. “Your commitment to our mission — empowering students and changing lives — is felt in every scholarship awarded, every program supported, and every opportunity made possible through your efforts. Your vision and advocacy continue to strengthen SEARK’s future, helping us reach new heights in student success and community impact.

“Thank you for the time you give, the wisdom you share, and the belief you have in the work we do. You are truly making a difference, and we are proud to have you as partners in our journey.”
