Southern Arkansas University at Magnolia has awarded the following area students scholarships for the 2016-2017 academic year:
Alison Young of Woodlawn High School will receive the University Scholarship, including $4,500 per semester with a four-year value of $36,000. Young is the daughter of Floyd Young.
Emma Goodman of Poyen High School earned the Leadership Incentive Scholarship of $3,300 per semester with a two-year value of $13,200. Goodman is the daughter of Nathan Goodman.
Callie McGee of Star City High School will receive the Top Ten Percent Scholarship for $3,300 per semester. McGee is the daughter of Darian and Amy McGee.
Sidney Sizemore of Monticello High School will receive the Achievement Scholarship of $1,000 per semester. Sizemore is the daughter of Stephanie Sizemore.

Corbin Talbert of Sheridan High School will receive the Achievement Scholarship of $1,000 per semester. Talbert is the daughter of Shannon and Jennifer Talbert.
Ali Hollingsworth of Hermitage High School has been selected to receive the Valedictorian/Salutatorian Scholarship for $3,300 per semester. Hollingsworth is the daughter of Heather and Michael Paul Hollingsworth.
Caleb Tallent of Sheridan High School has been selected to receive the University Scholarship for $4,500 per semester. Tallent is the son of Carl Tallent.
Leah Cook of Watson Chapel High School has been selected to receive the Top Ten Percent Scholarship worth $3,300 per semester. Cook is the daughter of Tracy Morse.
Katelyn Smead of Sheridan High School has been selected to receive the University Scholarship worth $4,500 per semester. Smead is the daughter of Michelene Smead.
