Several school districts had already called off classes for Friday by press time Thursday.
Watson Chapel, Dollarway, White Hall, Pine Bluff and Sheridan school districts had canceled classes for Friday, as well as Ridgway Christian School.
PBSD employees needing pick up checks may do so from 10 a.m. to noon by entering the administration building at the Sixth Avenue entrance, the district spokeswoman said.
The Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Library System will open at 10 a.m. Friday.
The Pine Bluff Commercial business office will open at 10 a.m. Friday.

The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff canceled the Lion Fever Day that had been scheduled for Friday.
The High School Career Coaches of Jefferson County postponed the Main Event: College and Career Expo that was scheduled for Thursday at the Pine Bluff Convention Center. Career Coach Dedric Jones said the activity will be rescheduled for a date to be determined in April.
