In memory of Qunishun Parks, students at Belair Middle School, 1301 Commerce Road, will hold a balloon release Friday at 3 p.m. at the school, if weather permits, a spokesman said.
Parks, 12, was a student at Belair, and died following a shooting Sunday. Twelve balloons will represent his age and 7 for his grade. The event is supported by the ICVR Respect for Life Campaign, the spokesman said.
