Debbie Johnson, CEO and president of Caleb’s Climb Inc., recently donated $2,000 to Pine Bluff High School in support of Mental Health Awareness and Suicide Prevention initiatives.

For the third consecutive year, Johnson has demonstrated “her unwavering commitment to youth mental health” by making a donation, according to a news release.

Caleb’s Climb, a nonprofit founded in honor of Johnson’s late son, has made it its mission to break the silence surrounding mental illness and suicide. Through education, outreach and direct community engagement, the organization seeks to foster healing and hope for individuals and families affected by mental health struggles.

Each year, the funds donated by Johnson have helped expand awareness events such as Mental Health Awareness Week.

“As the need for mental health awareness grows nationwide, champions like Ms. Debbie Johnson remind us that compassion, consistency, and community partnership can create lasting change,” Shun J. Jackson, PBHS social worker, said in the release.
