The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary met recently for its regular monthly business meeting.
The meeting was devoted entirely to trying to resolve problems that arose during the annual fundraiser luncheon in December. Overcrowding and waiting in line to get in were discussed.
At the present time, the only solution is to sell less tickets. The group regrets cutting down on attendance, as this event is one of the most popular events to the community each year, according to a spokesman.
First Methodist Church is a perfect place for the event, the spokesman said, however, it can only accommodate so many at a single event.
Suggestions included holding a two-day event, but it seems there were too many problems involved. The auxiliary has noted the suggestions from the members and the public and will take them into consideration.
The next business meeting will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Corps office, 501 E. 12th Ave.
