The 2014 Red Kettle Campaign for the Pine Bluff Salvation Army continues through Dec. 24, Christmas Eve.
Many retailers are hosting Salvation Army bell ringers and the campaign needs to collect as many donations as possible to help people in need all year long, a spokesman said.
Also, many people have adopted angels from the Angel Trees to buy gifts for a child or senior citizen who might not otherwise receive a gift at Christmas. The angel gifts need to be turned in as soon as possible so that the gifts can be organized and distributed.
The Salvation Army provides toys and clothes to hundreds of families in the area. Gifts will also be given to nursing home residents.
