An altercation between roommates Wednesday night at an apartment on the east side of Pine Bluff resulted in the arrest of both women on felony allegations.
Zhane Sanders, 20, was arrested on probable cause of second-degree battery and Diamond Ison, 18, was arrested on probable cause of aggravated assault, according to an affidavit from Detective Cassandra Briggs-McAfee.
Police were sent to the apartment in the 1100 block of East 26th Avenue in response to a reported stabbing and when they arrived, found Ison with a cut to her arm and Sanders, who appeared to be hyperventilating and unconscious.
McAfee said in the affidavit that when they were able to talk to Sanders, she said she and Ison had gotten into a verbal altercation and said she had cooked chicken wings but Ison refused to eat them.
According to the affidavit, Sanders said Ison accused her of “having an attitude,” and during a verbal altercation, Sanders told Ison to leave.

Sanders also allegedly said that after she helped Ison pack her belongings, the two got into a physical altercation and Ison went to the kitchen and got a knife. Sanders also allegedly said that when she tried to take the knife from Ison, Ison received a cut to the hand.
When Ison was questioned, she allegedly said she and Sanders had been living together for about two weeks and said she and Sanders both grabbed knives and she received a cut to the hand.
Ison also allegedly said that she had called a relative to pick her up and Sanders threw her clothes out a window of the apartment.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $5,000 bond for both Sanders and Ison and ordered them to have no contact with each other until the case is settled.
