The Bloom Tennis Center will soon be open again. The tennis courts have been resurfaced, and the center has been renovated.
“We will celebrate with a ribbon cutting on March 12 at 11:30 a.m.,” a spokesman for the center said in a news release.
The Bloom Tennis Center is located in Central Park at 2101 S. Hickory St. in Pine Bluff.
“We will celebrate with our first tennis match as we support the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Golden Lions Tennis Team as they take on Alcorn State University Braves,” the release said.
The tennis match starts at 1 p.m. Parks and Recreation will host a three-day tennis clinic for youth during spring break, March 19-23. The clinic will be instructed by a tennis coach from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. Registration is now open.
“We would like to thank the City of Pine Bluff Economic and Community Development Department and the Arkansas Tennis Patrons Association,” the news release said.
