Former University of Arkansas at Monticello quarterback Demilon Brown has been invited to the Las Vegas Raiders’ rookie minicamp, UAM announced Monday.

Brown completed 56.52% of his passes this past season for the Boll Weevils, finishing with 1,500 yards, six touchdowns and 15 interceptions.

He also led UAM in rushing with 763 yards on 164 carries with 10 touchdowns.

The Wilson native and Rivercrest High School alumnus has played for UAM since 2019, when he was named Great American Conference freshman of the year. Injuries derailed two of his seasons, but he played all 11 games this past fall.

In his career, Brown completed 58% of his passes for 7,343 yards, 53 touchdowns and 38 interceptions. He rushed for 3,187 yards and 37 touchdowns.

Brown will now have an opportunity to attempt to make an NFL roster, be it in Las Vegas or elsewhere.

The Raiders traded for veteran quarterback Geno Smith last month and list four other quarterbacks on their roster, including previous starter Aidan O’Connell. They also drafted Cam Miller from North Dakota State last weekend.
