The kickoff event season began Thursday for the Komen Race for the Cure-Arkansas. The race will be held Saturday, Oct. 10, at Little Rock.
The Greater Delta Alliance for Health Inc. announced that several agencies began offering race information Thursday.
At the Jefferson Regional Medical Center Wellness Center, 1301 W. 40th Ave., program information, registration for all race events and other information are available. Details: 540-6342.

At Fordyce, Dallas County Medical Center will sponsor a kickoff at the Dallas County Fairgrounds from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11. Details: 870-352-6325.

Arkansas ranks as the No. 2 race in the country for registration. GDAH wants to help make Arkansas No. 1 this year, Lisa V. Raby, GDAH spokeswoman, said in a press release.
