While the 2012 budget for Jefferson County General and the county Road Department leads the agenda for Tuesday’s meeting of Quorum Court committees, the county’s legislative body will also discuss a number of other budgets whose money does not come from county general, and several items items when they meet at 5:30 p.m.
Twenty-seven separate items appear on the agenda, many of them dealing with money matters.
Those items include:
• Considering a $43,231 appropriation from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Department of Homeland Security Grant program with the money to be used for fire prevention and fire safety programs.
• Considering a 2012 budget of $565,520 from the Juvenile Justice Education Fund for educational programs at the juvenile detention center.

• Consider a $600,000 allocation for the Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Library System for the 2012 budget.
• Transfer $36,336.68 from the Prosecuting Attorney’s Victim Witness Fund to the Victims of Crime Fund for a three-month budget ending Dec. 31, and transferring $58,228.8.87 from, the same fund for a nine-month budget for the Victims of Crime Fund for a nine-month budget, ending Sept. 30, 2012.
• Consider a $47,600 budget for 2012 for the Public Defender’s Office.
• Consider $60,000 budget for 2012 to cover juror fees for the circuit courts.
• Consider a $6,000 budget for 2012 for Jefferson County Drug Court for maintenance and operation.
• Consider a $270,485 budget for Solid Waste Management for the 2012 budget.
• Consider a $26,813 budget for the 2012 budget for the Environmental Enforcement Officer Fund and to employ a part-time officer.
• Consider a $4,494,393 appropriation for the adult jail budget for 2012, with $1,300,000 coming from the Adult Jail Fund, $2,396,055 from the Detention Facilities Maintenance and Operation Fund, and $798,284 from the Public Safety Sales Tax Fund.
• Consider a $574,412 budget for 2012 for District Court, with $286,206 coming from the Detention Facilities Maintenance and Operation Fund, and like amount from the Public Safety Sales Tax fund.
• Consider a $2,219,920 budget for the Juvenile Detention Center for 2012’s budget.
