The Pine Bluff City Council Traffic and Aviation Committee gave a do-pass recommendation Wednesday on a proposed resolution for the city to assume responsibility for Arkansas Highway 190 from Interstate 530 to U.S. Highway 65.
Aldermen Charles Boyd and Lloyd Holcomb Jr. voted for this resolution. They heard from Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department District Engineer David Henning, who asked the city to assume control of Arkansas 190.
Holcomb said he wants to improve this road.
The full city council will have the final vote on the matter.
