On Nov. 9, Preserve Arkansas’ Ramble, a bus trip, will transport guests from North Little Rock to Lake Village and back with site visits and tours at historic southeast Arkansas Delta locations.
Each fall, Preserve Arkansas hosts a ramble to a different region of the state.
“The ramble explores Arkansas’s heritage sites for an exceptional experience filled with history and fun,” according to a news release.
Stops will include the Lakeport Plantation Museum at Lake Village; University of Arkansas at Monticello Taylor Log House and site near Tillar; Selma Rosenwald School at Selma; World War II Japanese American Internment Camp Museum at McGehee; Rohwer Relocation Center Cemetery at Rohwer; John H. Johnson House at Arkansas City; and the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Museum and Cultural Center. The tour concludes with dinner at Colonial Steakhouse at Pine Bluff before the bus returns to North Little Rock.
Tickets for the Nov. 9 ramble are $150 and include motor coach transportation from North Little Rock, historic site tours, snacks and drinks on the bus, and meals. Half-day tickets are also available for those who provide their own transportation.
Seating is limited. The registration deadline is Oct. 29. Additional information and tickets are available at https://preservearkansas.org/what-we-do/preservation-ramble/.
