A woman is wanted in connection with a robbery and second-degree battery at Dillard’s Clearance Store the day after Christmas, according to a news release from Pine Bluff police.
Brandy Davis, 46, is accused of striking a 79-year-old male security guard multiple times, causing severe injuries. The guard has been released from a hospital and is back at work, police say.
Employees told police they observed Davis filling an empty bag with merchandise then briefly standing in line before ducking toward the exit without paying for the items. Police say two employees and the security guard attempted to stop her at the exit but she reportedly became violent, knocking down a female employee and the guard.
“Employees said they initially told Davis they would not involve the police if she returned the items or paid for them, but she refused,” the release reads.
