Police seek shooting suspects

Pine Bluff police are asking for help in identifying the person or persons involved in a shooting incident Tuesday night.

Cedric Farris, 22, was shot once in the right side and taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center for treatment, Officer Richard Wegner said. His condition was not immediately known.

Farris was shot at 11:45 p.m. while he was outside the Lake View Apartments at 501 W. Barraque St. waiting for a friend to pick him up, Wegner said.

Farris said a red passenger car pulled up containing four males and a passenger in the back seat who was wearing a mask fired several shots from the car, according to police.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact the detective division at 730-2090 or the dispatch center at 541-5300. All calls will be kept confidential.
