Two Pine Bluff men were arrested Monday after they were identified from video as the two who kicked in the door of a house on May 31 and stole several items.
Dantrell Canada, 22, and Hosea Sewell, 26, were taken into custody after the owner of the house showed police video that had been taken from a game camera he had set up pointing at the door, Detective Sgt. Michael Roberts said in a probable cause affidavit presented in district court Tuesday.
According to the affidavit, police were called to the 1400 block of West 22nd Avenue, where the owner found the door kicked in and the house ransacked.
Two televisions and other items were reported missing from the house, and according to the affidavit, Officer Tamina Smith saw the video and was able to identify Canada. The owner of the house identified Sowell as the other man who had entered the house.
Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $10,000 bond each for Canada and Sowell after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge them with residential burglary and theft of property.
