Pink Tomato organizers set pageant, trap shoot

Organizers of the 2017 Bradley County Pink Tomato Festival recently announced details of a pageant and the trap shoot. The festival will be held at Warren beginning in early June.

2017 Little Miss Pink Tomato

The 2017 Little Miss Pink Tomato Pageant will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 10, at the Warren Cultural Center. The deadline for entering is Friday, June 2.

Applicants must be 4 or 5 years of age on June 1, 2017, and live in Bradley, Ashley, Calhoun, Dallas, Drew, Lincoln or Union counties.

The Little Miss contestants will rehearse at the cultural center at 9 a.m. Friday, June 9, and ride in the Pink Tomato Festival Parade at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 10.

Pink Tomato Trap Shoot

The second annual Bradley County Pink Tomato Festival Trap Shoot will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 4, at the Warren Shooting Complex.

Two person teams may register at the Chamber of Commerce or on site on the day of competition. The registration fee is $80 per team. Teams may bring their shells, 12 or 20 gauge, or they may purchase them at the range. Each team will shoot 2 rounds of trap.

The winning team will receive $500 and a trophy. The second place winners will receive $120 and third place will receive $80.
