Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Library plans programs

The Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Library System recently announced programs for December. These include:

Quilting Class; Time 1-3 p.m.; Dates: Mondays, Dec. 2, 9, and 16; Location: 2nd Floor of Main Library;

Movies at the Library: Date: Thursday, Dec. 12; Time: 4 p.m.; Location: Main Library Theater;

Christmas Care Packages: Date: Tuesday, Dec. 10; Time: 3-5 p.m.; Location: 2nd Floor of Main Library. Donations may be dropped off at the Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Public Library’s Main Branch.

“Come help us pack care packages for some of the local homeless shelters,” a spokesman said. “These packages will have things like socks, gloves, hats, scarves, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and soap, as well as some tasty treats. Let’s gather together to celebrate the true meaning of the season.”

Craft Class: DIY Unicorn Christmas: Ornament; Date: Tuesday, Dec. 17; Time: 4-5:30 p.m.; Location: 2nd Floor of Main Library;

Christmas Trivia Night and Ugly Christmas Sweater Party: Date: Thursday, Dec. 19; Time: 3:30-5:45 p.m.; Location: 2nd Floor of Main Library.

“Come join us in celebrating the holiday,” a spokesman said. “There will be a Christmas trivia game. The winner of the trivia game will win a $25 Walmart gift card and the runner-up will win a $15 Walmart gift card. There will also be an ugly Christmas sweater contest. We will be serving festive foods and drinks. This is a family-friendly event.”
