The Pine Bluff School Board of Directors approved the hiring of employees at a meeting Tuesday night.
The names and positions of the new employees, as provided by the district are the following:
Tony Adams as a social studies teacher at Jack Robey Junior High School; Celeste Alexander as a math lab coordinator at Pine Bluff High School; Courtney Bilber as an English/social studies teacher at Southeast Middle School; Daniel Wayne Fouts as a physical science teacher at Jack Robey Junior High School; Micah Holstrom as a reading teacher at Belair Middle School; Eugene Akins as a special education paraprofessional at Belair Middle School; Courtney Anderson as a special education paraprofessional at Pine Bluff High School; Larry Anderson as a bus driver in the Transportation Department; Ruby Cork as a special education paraprofessional at Oak Park Elementary School; Briana Courtney as a custodian in the Maintenance and Auxiliary Department; Justin Davis as a special education paraprofessional at Belair Middle School; Vester Gandy as a nurse districtwide; Valerie Hayes as a special education paraprofessional; Evangela Jackson as a special education paraprofessional at Pine Bluff High School; Grace McKnight as a custodian in the Maintenance and Auxiliary Department; Amy Moore as a special education paraprofessional at Jack Robey Junior High School; Makeiko Morgan as a custodian in the Maintenance and Auxiliary Department; Miranda Riggins as a special education paraprofessional at Oak Park Elementary School; Rashaunda Robinson as a paraprofessional at Thirty-Fourth Avenue Elementary School; and Lisa Turner as an in-school suspension supervisor at W.T. Cheney Elementary School.
The board approved the transfer of Lakeisha Higgins as a guidance counselor at Thirty-Fourth Avenue Elementary School.
In addition, the board accepted the resignations of Jeff Blohm as a social studies teacher at Jack Robey Junior High School; Betty Anthony-Hayes as a physical education teacher and coach at Pine Bluff High School; Makeisha Thomas as a bus driver from the Transportation Department; and Linda Walker as a bus driver from the Transportation Department.
