Pine Bluff School District hires employees

The Pine Bluff School Board voted to hire 10 employees Tuesday night after meeting in executive session.

They are:

Sualen​ Bowman-Davis as an interventionist at Pine Bluff High School, effective Nov. 28;

Lakesha​ Childress as a business education instructor, effective Nov. 28;

Naocea​ Evans as a music teacher at Belair Middle School, effective Nov. 28;

Mircha​ King as an interventionist at Pine Bluff High School, effective Nov. 28;

Theresa Lyons as a music teacher at Southwood Elementary School, effective Oct. 31;

Steven Mays as an interventionist at Pine Bluff High School, effective Nov. 28;

Vera​ Smith as an interventionist at Southwood Elementary School, effective Nov. 28;

Bresha​ Eddington as a Title I paraprofessional at Southwood Elementary School, effective Nov. 28;

Sharon Jackson as a paraprofessional at Southwood Elementary School, effective Nov. 28;

Eric​ Mayfield as a Title I paraprofessional at Southwood Elementary School, effective Nov. 15;

The board also voted to accept the resignations of these employees:

Joyce​ Sanders as a paraprofessional at Forrest Park/Greenville effective Oct. 27;

Paula​ Williams as a secretary at Thirty-Fourth Elementary School effective Oct. 31;

The board accepted the retirement of David​ Christian a teacher of physical education and health at Belair Middle School, effective Dec. 31.
