The Pine Bluff School Board voted to hire 10 employees Tuesday night after meeting in executive session.
They are:
Sualen Bowman-Davis as an interventionist at Pine Bluff High School, effective Nov. 28;
Lakesha Childress as a business education instructor, effective Nov. 28;
Naocea Evans as a music teacher at Belair Middle School, effective Nov. 28;
Independent reporting for Pine Bluff & Jefferson County since 1879.
Mircha King as an interventionist at Pine Bluff High School, effective Nov. 28;
Theresa Lyons as a music teacher at Southwood Elementary School, effective Oct. 31;
Steven Mays as an interventionist at Pine Bluff High School, effective Nov. 28;
Vera Smith as an interventionist at Southwood Elementary School, effective Nov. 28;
Bresha Eddington as a Title I paraprofessional at Southwood Elementary School, effective Nov. 28;
Sharon Jackson as a paraprofessional at Southwood Elementary School, effective Nov. 28;
Eric Mayfield as a Title I paraprofessional at Southwood Elementary School, effective Nov. 15;
The board also voted to accept the resignations of these employees:
Joyce Sanders as a paraprofessional at Forrest Park/Greenville effective Oct. 27;
Paula Williams as a secretary at Thirty-Fourth Elementary School effective Oct. 31;
The board accepted the retirement of David Christian a teacher of physical education and health at Belair Middle School, effective Dec. 31.
