On Thursday the temperature reached the middle 30s, allowing existing snowpack to melt. But any liquid will refreeze after the temperature drops overnight.
Nipper said the the forecast calls for Friday to have a low of 20 with a chance of flurries and a high temperature of 30. Saturday should bring a low of 24 and a high 40 with precipitation developing by the later afternoon, she said. The temperature should be warm enough that the precipitation is rain, she said.
The forecast for Sunday should bring a low temperature of 36 and steadier rain and a high in the upper 40s to 50, she said.
“We will watch for flooding because Pine Bluff got significant snow,” Nipper said.
