Reported crime in Pine Bluff dropped by nearly 13% from 2024 to 2025, according to the final 2025 statistics compiled by the Pine Bluff Police Department.
Over the last five years, 2025 showed the most improvement in Pine Bluff’s crime rate.
Reported crime has steadily declined each year, with an overall reduction of nearly 36% since 2021.
There were 2,954 crimes reported in 2025, down from 3,378 in 2024.

The PBPD answered 29,091 calls for service in 2025, and there were 4,754 traffic stops.
Among crimes against persons in 2025:
• There were 16 homicides, equal to 2024. Eleven have been solved.
• Two of the homicides occurred at the W.C. “Dub” Brassell Detention Center, the Jefferson County jail, but are counted in the city’s statistics.
• There were 571 reports of shots fired in 2025, down from 848 in 2024.
• There were 45 people shot in 2025, with December recording the highest number at seven.
• Rapes increased from 35 to 37.
• Robberies remained even at 37.
• Aggravated assaults dropped from 369 to 340.
• Simple assaults dropped from 1,143 to 1,067.
Among crimes against properties in 2025:
• Commercial burglaries dropped from 148 to 73.
• Residential burglaries dropped from 211 to 175.
• Thefts dropped from 1,178 to 1,041.
• Vehicle thefts dropped from 234 to 163.
Among vehicle fatalities in 2025, there were seven vehicle fatalities in the city during 2025, which matches 2024’s number.
Domestic violence calls for 2025 totaled 2,554, with an average of about 213 calls each month.
There were 178 people arrested, 293 warnings given and 516 reports taken related to domestic violence.
