Mark Davis

A suspect identified in one of two Thanksgiving night shootings in Pine Bluff is now in custody.

Pine Bluff Police public information specialist John Worthen said Monday afternoon Mark Davis, 40, who was wanted in connection to a shooting on West 28th Avenue that injured another man, was in custody. It was not immediately known whether Davis turned himself in or was located.

The shooting happened at about 10:05 p.m. Thursday, according to a Monday morning news release. Police say officers found a man inside a home bleeding from a gunshot wound to his left shoulder. An officer applied pressure to the wound to help stop the bleeding.

Davis is suspected of committing a terroristic act and first-degree battery. Worthen said the victim, at last check, was in stable condition and expected to make a full recovery.

Police are working to identify a suspect in another shooting that happened earlier that evening.

The shooting happened at about 6:50 p.m. Thursday on West 32nd Avenue. A woman reportedly told police that someone shot at her home while her children were still inside. No injuries were reported and detectives are still trying to identify a suspect.
