The Pine Bluff Small Business Association held its monthly meeting Wednesday at Leon’s Catfish, featuring Pine Bluff native Trey Reid, an assistant chief of communications for the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, as the guest speaker.

“A graduate of Pine Bluff High School, Reid has become one of the most recognized voices in Arkansas’s outdoor community,” according to a news release. “He represents the AGFC at more than 200 media engagements annually and leads the agency’s visual storytelling efforts, promoting conservation and recreation across the state. Reid also hosts The Wild Side on 103.7 FM The Buzz and contributes regularly to national outdoor publications.”

During the meeting, Reid delivered a presentation about the future of Bayou Bartholomew, discussing its potential to boost tourism, enhance quality of life for local residents and drive long-term economic development. He also shared updates on conservation and recreation projects happening statewide and fielded questions from attendees.

“The energy and enthusiasm Trey brought to the room were inspiring,” said Tommy Palmer, a Small Business Association board member. “It’s encouraging to hear about the investment in Bayou Bartholomew and what it could mean for our local economy and outdoor life.”

Next month’s meeting will focus on public safety, with speakers from the Pine Bluff Police Department and Pine Bluff Fire and Emergency Services Department.
