Pine Bluff Mayor Shirley Washington recently announced the date for her State of the City address and upcoming community forums.
Washington will present the State of the City address at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 16, at the Pine Bluff Convention Center. Residents are invited to attend and hear about progress in Pine Bluff and work to come in 2017, according to a press release.
Meanwhile, four community forums will be held in compliance with Resolution 3978 passed by the Pine Bluff City Council Feb. 21. The resolution directs that forums gather additional comments, observations and concerns from each city ward.
The following forums will begin at 6 p.m. at these locations:
• Tuesday, March 21 (Ward 3) – First Missionary Baptist Church, 4500 Faucett Road;

• Thursday, March 23 (Ward 4) – St. James United Methodist Church, 900 University Drive;
• Monday, March 27 (Ward 1) – Mt. Harmony Baptist Church, 812 E. Harding Ave.;
• Thursday, March 30 (Ward 2) – Immanuel Baptist Church, 1801W. 17th Ave.
