The Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Library System will present “Unity Through Music” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, at the theatre of the main library at the civic center, 200 E. Eighth Ave.
The live concert will feature a multi-denominational choir with local participants.
Performers will include the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Vesper Choir and solos by Maggie Rae, Kelsie Roberson and William H. Fox Jr. Music will be directed by Bessie Lancelin, Jerron Liddell, Josephine Bell and Richard Campbell, according to a news release.
Karen Walker, community education coordinator at the Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN), will be the mistress of ceremony. The program will be filmed by AETN and televised at a later date, according to the release.
“The idea behind this event is to celebrate the diversity of music among different faiths in the local area as they join together in ‘Unity Through Music’,” according to the release.
