Pine Bluff School District will submit an application on Thursday, May 19, to the Arkansas Department of Education for a 21st Century Community Learning Centers Program Grant. If approved, the funds will be used to establish an extended learning program at 34th Elementary School.
The primary purpose of the program is to establish or expand community learning centers that operate during non-school hours. The program must provide students in high poverty areas with intensive academic enrichment opportunities.
