Pine Bluff Cares will hold mentor training from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Services Center, 211 W. Third Ave.
Pine Bluff Cares is an affiliate of the National Cares Mentoring Movement. Mentors will receive training to implement the Pen or Pencil: Writing A New History curriculum in the Pine Bluff Lighthouse Charter School, Pine Bluff and Dollarway school districts.
Trained mentors may also be used at other youth-serving organizations in Pine Bluff and Jefferson County as needed. Mentoring applications will be available at the training for those who want to become mentors.
