Pat Sheffield, a retired art teacher, will teach a palette knife workshop from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday, March 22, at the Pine Bluff Art League studio.
The studio is located at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Services Center, 211 W. Third Ave. The focus of the workshop will be landscapes in acrylic, Sheffield said in a news release.
Sheffield taught for most of her career at Star City High School. After her retirement she taught in the Dollarway School District.
A member of the art league for more than 20 years, Sheffield has served in many capacities. She is currently the chairwoman of the “Top of the Middle” art exhibit for students for Pine Bluff area middle schools.
The workshop is open to the public. The fee is $10 for league members and $20 for non-members, according to Vickie Coleman, league president.
Participants should bring canvasses and acrylic paints. Palette knives will be provided. Details: Sheffield, 879-3031, or Coleman at 879-3825.
