Pine Bluff Art League to feature Conway artist

Caren Garner, an innovative artist from Conway, will present the program at Pine Bluff Art League meeting at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 1, at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Services Center, 211 W. Third Ave.

Garner will show works in acrylic, collage, oil and watercolor.

“A lover of experimentation, Caren is currently using a lot of texture. A favorite subject is wildlife, especially African wildlife,” a spokeswoman said in a news release. “She is also adept in florals, landscapes, portraits and abstract/non-objective work. Her goal, she says, is to share her her passion, energy and love of art.”

Garner has a patriotic mural at the Veterans Administration Hospital at Little Rock and has done murals for several Little Rock restaurants. A collection of her work is currently on display at the Butler Center at Little Rock.

The public is invited to attend the Pine Bluff Art League meeting. Visitors are advised to use the Fourth Avenue entrance to the building. Refreshments will be served.
