The final day to pay personal and real estate taxes is Wednesday, Tax Collector Stephanie Glover Stanton said in a press release Friday.
That day is also the final day for 100 percent totally and permanently disabled veterans, surviving spouses and minor dependent children to file their summary of benefits letter for their DAV credit for 2013 taxes.
Stanton said the courthouse will be closed Monday because of the Columbus Day holiday and asked that Jefferson County residents call or fax the office or use the website to find out how much they owe.
Payments may be made in a variety of ways, including online, by phone, by mail and in person at the courthouse.
To pay online using a credit card or Echeck, look up current tax amounts and parcel numbers, then go to www.arkansas.gov/jeffersoncounty and follow the instructions on the screen.

To pay by phone using a credit card, call 1-866-257-2055. The county code is 35 and the parcel numbers are located on the left side of the tax statement.
Those paying by mail should send their payments to Stephanie Glove Stanton, Collector, Drawer A, Pine Bluff, AR 71611. Postmark will be accepted for payment without penalty.
Stanton said the drop box located on the north (lake) side of the courthouse will be closed after midnight Wednesday and statements should be included with the payment. No cash, please, she said.
To receive a receipt for either mail payments or payments placed in the drop box, include a self-addressed stamped envelope or provide an email address.
“We encourage you to pay by mail and avoid the long lines,” Stanton said in the news release.
