The Pen or Pencil Community Roundtable has been rescheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, at New St. Hurricane Missionary Baptist Church, 3319 S. Ohio St.
The roundtable was originally scheduled for July 26, where a new crime prevention strategy was to be introduced, according to a news release from Pine Bluff Interested Citizens for Voter Registration Inc.
The roundtable was rescheduled because a guest presenter, Terry A. Webster Sr., a pastor from Indianapolis, Indiana, couldn’t attend. Webster lost cousins in the duck boat fatality at Branson, Mo., last week, Webster and Charles Harrison, a pastor, were scheduled to attend, according to the Rev. Jesse C. Turner, executive director of PBICVR.
Webster is related to Tia Coleman, who along with her nephew, were the only survivors of their family on the boat, according to a news release.
