Dollarway School District middle school students in the PEN OR PENCIL: Writing A New History program will meet and administer an activity with law enforcement.
Monday between 10 a.m. and noon at the Pine Bluff Police Department and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department, students will read law enforcement officers their rights.
PEN stands for penitentiary, and PENCIL stands for education, the two choices for students and others across the country who live in a struggle between crime, violence, and a future, a spokesman said.
The program is administered locally by Interested Citizens for Voter Registration.
