One person was killed in a pedestrian accident Friday night at West 20th Avenue and Blake Street.
Henry S. Hayes, 41, was identified as the deceased by Pine Bluff Police Department spokesman Lt. David Price in a press release.
The initial investigation indicated that Hayes was in the center turn lane, acting erratically, and stepped out into the path of a northbound 2007 Cadillac DTS that was in the inside lane and was driven by Montell Ward, 55, Price stated in the release. The accident occurred at about 9 p.m.
Hayes was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:27 p.m. by Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Phillip Tallent.
The collision is still under investigation.
