Pine Bluff High School students will make the Pen or Pencil Pledge against Gun Violence at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, at the Little Theater at school.
The effort is part of the Kingfest celebration in honor of the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., sponsored by Interested Citizens for Voter Registration Inc.
Students will pledge to boycott bullying and anti-social behaviors. The Pine Bluff Police Department will address students on “using words not weapons to solve conflicts,” a spokesman said. Details: 413-6345.
