Pine Bluff Wastewater Utility was recognized earlier this week at the Arkansas Waterworks and Water Environment Association’s Annual Conference in Hot Springs, receiving the prestigious Safety Award for its exemplary safety program and outstanding safety record. The award highlights the organization’s commitment to workplace safety, with zero lost-time accidents reported.

“I’m grateful for our employees’ dedication to safety and their active participation in the routine safety meetings and training we provide,” PBWU General Manager Ken Johnson said. “This award is a testament to their hard work and focus.”

In addition to the Safety Award, PBWU celebrated two individual achievements. Robert Peyton was honored with the Quarter Century Award, recognizing his 25 years of dedicated service to the organization. Najarad Jasper was named Laboratory Pretreatment Coordinator of the Year, acknowledging his contributions to environmental compliance and laboratory excellence.

Pine Bluff Wastewater remains dedicated to providing safe, reliable, and sustainable wastewater services to the Pine Bluff community while upholding the highest standards of safety and environmental stewardship, according to a news release.
