Nyla Riley of Pine Bluff has been selected to participate in the 2016 Miss Arkansas Teen USA Pageant, to be held on Nov. 1 in Bentonville.
Nyla, a senior at Pine Bluff High School, will show her school spirit by competing under the title of Miss Zebra Pride. She will compete in swimwear, evening gown and personal interview competitions. The pageant has two age divisions, and the winners will go on to represent the state in the 2016 Miss Teen USA Pageant. The Miss USA Pageant system stresses good morals, physical fitness, communication skills, social awareness and community involvement.
Nyla is daughter of Yulanda Riley and the granddaughter of Virgil and Deloris Riley and JoAnne Allen of Gould. She is a captain of the Pine Bluff High School Cheerleading Team and plans to attend the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff to major in fisheries biology.
